Project: A Sustainable GM BAME Social Enterprise Network

Grant: £59,800

GMCVO will support the creation of a sustainable, independent BAME-led enterprise infrastructure through creating a business model that can generate income that can be reinvested in the ecosystem. The project will explore the Innovation Co-operative model as a way of sustaining the GM BAME Social Enterprise Network and the collaboration between its members. It will look at the legal structure required and co-design the approach to ensure it fits the Network’s requirements to enable service and funding collaborations including specialist support organisations, social enterprises and social investors. GMCVO hope to support the creation of a model that will offer the members an agile structure able to respond to the needs and opportunities locally. It will also work with BAME-led support organisations to develop specialist advisors able to provide support and technical assistance to the members.
